Blu Ray Ripper for Mac

After reviewing blu ray ripper software for windows I thought it was about time I added a blu ray ripper for mac to my list. After a lot of searching and comparisons I finally came up with a software which in my opinion is the best blu ray ripper for mac systems. The pavtube blu ray ripper for mac is very much similar to their windows version reviewed by me here. Pavtube blu ray ripper for mac is a ripper, converter and an Editor all in one. However it can only rip blu ray discs to your hard drive, it cannot rip HD DVD. The converter can convert the ripped blu ray .m2ts file to any video format however one thing I noticed is that the output options in this ripper are way more than any other blu ray ripper software I have reviewed here.

Due to the vast number of output options you can be sure that your device will be listed. This blu ray ripper for mac can convert DVD and Blu-ray DVD movies, even the CSS copyright protected one, into other popular audio and video formats like AVI, ASF, MPEG, MP4, WMV, MKV, MOV, FLV, SWF, RM, 3GP, AAC, AC3, MP3, OGG, WAV, WMA, M4A, etc to playback on your favorite portable players such as iPod, iPhone, Apple TV, Zune, Blackberry, PSP, Creative Zen, Xbox, etc on Mac. Along with the many output formats this ripper provides a custom option with which you can set the parameters manually, as can be seen from from the screen shot below.

Through the built in editor you can use the popular "split by scene" option. This option allows you to rip only the part you want from an entire movie. The movie is played in the built in movie player and while the movie is playing you can set the start and end points for it to rip by scene. This is especially important when you want to store a single part or song from a blu ray DVD on your portable device without the trouble of ripping the entire movie and then using a movie editor to trim out the desired part. With this software all these steps can be avoided and the selected part can be directly converted to a file format compatible with your portable device. Along with providing the "split" option with this software you can also use the "merge" option to merge small video files into a single for for continuous playback.

Other than splitting by scene and merging, the built in editor allows you to perform advanced functions such as file trimming, cropping of video area, adding a text or video/image watermark to the ripped files to give it a more personal touch, adjusting special effect, editing and replacing audio and so much more.

And it is because of the vast number of options this software provides that I have selected this mac blu ray ripper over all the others.
